This page explains what PawScore collects and how we use it. Plain language, no surprises. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@pawtraceapp.com.

What we collect

  • Your account email when you sign up.
  • Pet profiles you create, including name, species, breed, and any allergies you add.
  • The photos you upload when you scan a label, and the ingredient and analysis text we extract from them.
  • Your scan history and the scores produced for each scan.
  • Subscription status from Stripe if you upgrade to Premium. We do not see or store your card number.

How label photos are processed

When you scan a label, the photo is sent to an AI service that reads the image and returns the ingredient list and guaranteed analysis as text. We then run our own scoring rules on that text. The AI service is used to extract text from your photo and is not used to train models on your data.

Why we store scan results

We save the extracted ingredients, analysis, and score for each scanned product so we can build a shared product catalog and show you your scan history. The catalog lets us avoid re-processing a label that has already been read, and lets your past scans stay consistent when our rubric improves.

We do not sell personal data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not share your pet profiles, scan photos, or scan history with advertisers.

Cookies and authentication

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember anonymous scan usage so the free tier works without an account. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment details you enter directly. We only receive your subscription status and the identifiers needed to manage your subscription.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of your account, pet profiles, and scan history at any time. Email hello@pawtraceapp.com from the address tied to your account and we will remove your data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this page, we will update the effective date at the top.
